So… I found out my son has obtained fake i.d. from an online source. The kid scanned his Drivers license, along with a current picture of himself and emailed to someone!!!!
So…my son’s DL#, date of birth, address, etc. are out on the internet! He sent it to a place that I googled and came up with many sites, all in Russian/Polish (I think).

He’s smart kid and conversations have been had about internet safety! Why do they think bad things won’t happen to them????!!!!!!

I don’t even know where to begin to try and protect his i.d. I tried to contact the 3 credit agencies, but they won’t deal with under 18. So….I’m coming to YA for any and all suggestions.

IMy address and phone number are all over the internet and anyone anywhere could have access to them. I’m VERY scared and upset. PLEASE help ASAP.

I have been thinking about this alot, and I think it could be good for a business, but more importantly for the safety of kids.

What sparked the idea, my cousin is 13 years old and she was on a website/chatroom, and got a number from a man(21 years old), and was having conversations every night with this guy, and exchanging emails.

Me being at the right place at the right time, got on her computer, and saw all the emails with this guy, Stuff that I did not want to see, and things a 13 year old girl should not know about.

I told her mom, and she had a talk with her, and I did some research and installed a parental control program, that monitors everything, and showed my aunt how to use it. No more problems after that, and my cousin was happy that I did that.

Who knows what would’ve happened if she would’ve kept talking to this guy.

Do you think as a parent, you would be interested in protecting your kid online and have someone come out to your house and setup the softwa?
I’m not going to create a new software. It’s just some parents are clueless as to how to do things. Many parents do not know anything about that kind of software. Most kids know more than parents do, when it comes to the internet.

So my job would be to, advertise what I can do.

Then load the software, and tutor them on how to use it.

By the way, I don’t think this is spying on your kids, I believe it’s called parenting. It’s the same as looking to see if the Movie is R- rated. I’m only 19 years old and, I don’t have any kids, but after seeing what happened. There is a dark side to the internet that should be protected.
